What is SPARKSFIRE?

SPARKSFIRE is a framework for understanding where burnout, compassion fatigue, and exhaustion actually come from — and responding to the root cause.

It's grounded in the hard-won understanding that we don’t tire because we lack commitment or capability. We tire when the demands placed on us — often invisible and cumulative — finally outpace our capacity to meet them.

Most people don’t realise this until they’ve spent years trying to adapt themselves to systems that were never designed to support them.

The Real Source of Our Stress

When work starts to feel unsustainable, it’s rarely because of one dramatic breaking point.

More often, it’s because demands are quietly accumulating across multiple layers - 3 in fact.


If we respond at the wrong level, nothing really changes — except how hard we’re pushing ourselves (and how crappy we feel that we can't "keep up").

SPARKSFIRE helps identify where those demands are actually sitting, so our responses are better targeted and more effective.

This layer reflects the internal demands you carry into your work — including the vulnerabilities, sensitivities, and relational patterns that often draw people into caregiving professions in the first place.

Real clinical sustainability only exists when personal capacity,

professional clarity, & organisational design are all addressed together.

SPARKSFIRE isn’t about fixing yourself or doing more — it’s about understanding where the pressure is coming from and responding at the right level.

You don’t need to engage with everything here.

In fact, I actively encourage you NOT to do that -

at least not all at once!!
